Super Simple Bibimbap
Super Simple Bibimbap – What I Had for Dinner Tonight!
Tonight, I made a delicious and super simple bibimbap using a few ingredients from my fridge. It’s easy to follow, quick to prepare, and packed with nutrients—perfect for busy days. Let me share the steps with you so you can make it too!
Ingredients (for 1 serving)
• Rice: 1 bowl (preferably warm)
• Tuna: Half a can
• Eggs: 1-2 (depending on your preference)
• Vegetables: Any veggies you have at home (lettuce, spinach, cabbage, etc.),
or leftover cooked vegetables
• Kimchi: A small portion (sour or fresh, both work well)
• Seasoning: 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste), 1 teaspoon sesame oil, a drizzle of perilla oil, and a pinch of sesame seeds
• Roasted seaweed: 1 sheet
Steps
1. Prepare the fried egg:
Heat some oil in a frying pan. Once hot, crack the egg and cook it sunny-side up, leaving the yolk slightly runny. (If you prefer, cook it fully.)
2. Prepare the rice:
Place one bowl of warm rice in a large bowl. If you’re using frozen rice, reheat it in the microwave until it’s warm and fluffy.
3. Layer the ingredients:
• Add half a can of tuna on top of the rice.
• Pile on plenty of prepared vegetables.
• Add a portion of kimchi to suit your taste.
• Drizzle gochujang, sesame oil, and perilla oil over the top.
4. Final touch:
• Place the fried egg on top of the rice and veggies.
• Tear up the roasted seaweed and sprinkle it over everything.
5. Mix it up:
Grab your spoon and mix everything together! Once fully combined, it’s colorful, fragrant, and irresistible.
6. Enjoy!
Take a bite and adjust the seasoning if needed—maybe a little more gochujang or a side dish for balance.
