Unhappy Children Part 1: The Beginning of the Problem
What Are We Missing?

Today, more and more young people, even children, feel overwhelmed by the weight of life, leading some to make tragic choices to end their suffering.

Why are our children becoming increasingly unhappy?

The world is changing rapidly,
and keeping up with its pace feels exhausting and impossible.

The economy continues to decline,
jobs are harder to find,
and owning a home seems like a distant dream.

Every morning,
people struggle to get out of bed,
only to fall into an exhausted sleep at night,
feeling like their efforts are hopeless.

Eventually,
they question why they must endure this painful world,
leading some to make extreme decisions.

Why are our young people, our children, living such painful lives?

Is it purely a personal issue,
or is it a societal problem?
Is there no way to find true happiness in this dark world?

I’ve often heard people say:
“You must endure the present for the sake of a happy future.”

But what if there is no tomorrow?
What if the future we dream of never arrives?

If we keep sacrificing today for tomorrow,
when will we ever reach “tomorrow”?

When babies are born,
they learn to roll over, crawl, sit up, walk, and eventually run.
They start by babbling, move on to speaking words, then sentences,
and finally express their thoughts.
Parents understand how miraculous these moments are.

And yet, from the moment children are born,
parents start comparing them to others:

“When did your child start walking?”

“How early did they begin talking?”

“How quickly did they start advanced classes?”

“How high are their grades?”

“How fluent are they in foreign languages?”

“Which prestigious university are they attending?”

“Which major corporation are they working for?”

“Are they in a managerial role?”

“Are they a CEO, a doctor, or a judge?”

What is the essence of happiness,
and why can’t we teach it to our children?

Could it be that parents and society are the ones making children unhappy?

What is the path to genuine happiness for our children?
Let’s explore this further in the next part.
